Distribution SCADA Master

Sectionalizing Point

Distribution SCADA Master capable of operating like a Supervisory Control System of the Sub-stations (SCADA) and the Automation of the Network, which includes, as one of its functions of automatism, the Automatic Sectionalizing (ASDS). The basic function of the system consists of supervision, control and telecontrol of remote equipment of data acquisition (RTU, IED, etc.) enabling the user to visualize the different status signals and analog variables that such RTUs acquire. The ASDS module includes network automation functions enabling an automatic operation in case of contingency.

SENSA’s LFG Sectionalizer is the perfect solution to satisfy the needs for control of electrical energy distribution feeder circuits. Its disconnection equipment is based on YASKAWA LFG Switches and meets the electric requirements to operate in circuits of 15 to 38 Kv. More than 85,000 equipments installed worldwide back up its high reliability and performance.

Benefits

Benefits

  • Reactive Control, for a better regulation along the network and a loss reduction for a better management of the power factor.
  • Reduction of failure incidence and extension of useful life of the assets involved by means of functions such as load balance that will enable a reduction of the possibility of overloads, or of the system working too close to the limits.
  • Reduce the User Interruption Time (UIT) by means of Automatic Sectionalizing, reducing the average duration of failure service from hours to a just few minutes (2-4 min)
  • Reduce the service time of a contingency or failure in the network, by means of the location of the fault section and the immediate re-establishment of the healthy sections, Increasing the Service Availability
  • Serve as a tool for the Efficient Operation of the network in normal operating conditions, but above all, during a Contingency, whether caused by man or by nature.

The LFG Automated Sectionalizing Point offers an excellent way of fulfilling the needs for automatic control of distribution networks, and in conjunction with the ASDS Module enables to:

  • Reduce service time to a contingency or failure in the network, locating the faulted section immediately re-establishing the healthy sections, thereby increasing the Service Availability.
  • Reduce failure incidence and increase lifetime of the assets involved, by means of functions such as load balance which will reduce the possibility of overload, or when operating the system to the limit of its specifications.

With the new pole RTU 15000 the sectionalizing point will be able to:

  • Monitor the network energy quality
  • Have upgrade options such as: sub-master protocol, additional inputs and outputs or even a local control panel.
